Material Handler
The Material Handler is responsible for supporting production lines by efficiently transporting parts and materials. This role requires collaboration with paint and assembly department leads to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Bring parts to production lines and remove materials from them.
- Collaborate with leads in paint and assembly departments to meet their requirements.
- Operate forklifts to pull parts from shelves and deliver them to lines.
- Move carts and pallet jacks throughout the production floor, transporting products to and from assembly lines.
- Assist other material handlers in the assembly department, work on the assembly line, and help organize units with the paint unload team.
- Perform inventory transactions using handheld RF scanners.
Essential Skills
- Experience in inventory, material handling, part picking, or similar positions preferred.
- Proficiency in using RF scanning devices.
- Effective communication skills in English (speaking, reading, writing, and understanding).
- Basic arithmetic skills including counting, adding, and subtracting.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
- Capability to lift/carry up to 10 lbs constantly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Capability to push/pull up to 100 lbs occasionally.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to perform tasks that involve primarily walking and standing for full 8-12 hour shifts.
- Frequently use hands and fingers to pick parts and grip objects, tools, and scanners.
- Occasionally crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, and reach forward and overhead.
- Ability to bend, twist/turn, push/pull, reach overhead, and grasp tools as necessary.
- Experience operating powered equipment.

Work Environment
Work in a manufacturing facility that is not air-conditioned and can become hot during summer. The paint department offers air-conditioned areas during parts handling, but most tasks involve moving materials in fabrication areas, which can be warm. Candidates should be comfortable working in these conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $22.70/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
