Job Description

This role focuses on performing consistent and high-quality painting operations in a manufacturing environment, including hanging, unloading, pre-staging, masking, and painting to established standards. You follow clear procedures and guidelines, maintain paint equipment in good working order, and actively support continuous improvement of paint processes. The position offers the opportunity to train and develop skills in powder coat painting within a supportive, team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities
  • Perform hanging, unloading, pre-staging, masking, and painting operations according to established standards and specifications.
  • Follow pre-established guidelines, procedures, plans, and priorities as directed by the supervisor.
  • Apply paint using spray guns and related equipment for industrial, commercial, or residential-style production painting.
  • Support and participate in continuous improvement efforts related to paint processes and workflow.
  • Maintain paint equipment, tools, and paint booths in good operating condition and report any issues promptly.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, masking, and other paint prep tasks to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality.
  • Operate safely within a production environment, following all safety policies and wearing appropriate protective equipment.
  • Train in the paint booth to learn and develop powder coat painting skills.
  • Handle and move materials and parts as needed, including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive bending, twisting, and turning throughout the shift.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work, clarify instructions, and support a team-oriented environment.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Powder coat painting experience preferred.
  • Experience with paint prep, masking, and production painting processes.
  • Familiarity with maintaining paint equipment and ensuring proper operation.
  • Interest in continuous improvement of paint processes and willingness to learn new techniques.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Anoka, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
