Responsibilities- Support the production process by coordinating the movement of material into, within, and out of manufacturing in a timely and professional manner.
- Operate a variety of equipment applicable within the assigned area (i.e., CRTs, forklifts, etc.).
- Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements.
- Exercise a high level of professionalism when responding to internal customer concerns.
- Apply knowledge of Lean principles to participate in Kaizen events and drive out waste throughout the department.
- Support a continuous improvement culture by engaging with team members and supervisors in problem solving and decision making.
- May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Lead experience preferred.
- 1–3 years of production work experience preferred.
- Computer experience with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards and the Internet.
- Knowledge of all material flow processes.
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance with them.
- Analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to achieve high productivity through reliable and punctual attendance.
- Ability to conduct operator training on standard work, including work instructions, product quality, company and value‑stream policies and procedures.
- Ability to identify and support continuous improvement.
- Ability to sustain and drive lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
- Adaptability to rapidly changing business circumstances.
- Ability to function effectively in a high‑stress, high‑pressure environment with a positive attitude.
- Problem‑solving ability to address ambiguous problems with unique solutions.
- Compensation range: $23.90 – $44.40 per hour.
