Tube Bender – Weekend Shift

What You'll Do

As a Tube Bender, you'll safely set up and operate tube bending equipment to produce high-quality components that meet engineering specifications and customer expectations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Set up, adjust, and operate tube bending machines and related equipment.
  • Bend structural tubing, rods, bars, pipe, channels, and other materials to precise specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and process sheets.
  • Select and install the proper tooling, dies, fixtures, and gauges for each job.
  • Inspect finished parts using measuring and inspection equipment to verify quality and tolerances.
  • Perform first-piece inspections and recommend process improvements when appropriate.
  • Identify and properly tag nonconforming materials.
  • Complete production documentation accurately and on time.
  • Communicate effectively with teammates and other departments to support production goals.
  • Safely operate hoists, manual pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates will have:

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience operating fabrication or metal-forming equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints, process sheets, and work instructions.
  • Ability to accurately use tape measures, calipers, protractors, and other measuring tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job, including:

  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequently bend, twist, reach overhead, grasp tools, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Safely operate hoists, manual pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.

At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. Your base wage will be between $21.25 - $26.13 per hour and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual wage offer will be based on qualifications, experience, location, and other relevant factors.

You'll have the opportunity to participate in the Production Bonus Plan, which provides opportunities to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics. Bonus eligibility is subject to meeting certain production goals and other criteria as outlined.
