Turret Laser Operator
The Turret Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating numerically controlled machine tools to perform turret punching operations and laser cutting operations. This role requires a high level of skill, broad knowledge of turret punching techniques, familiarity with program formats, and the ability to work with close tolerances and finish specifications.
Shift: 4th shift, Friday-Sunday, 6AM-6PM
Training 1st shift (Monday-Thursday, 6am-4pm) for 2-3 weeks.
ResponsibilitiesOperate Turret machine
Operate Laser machine
Check parts
Read and complies with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists
Enter production information into the ERP system on a timely basis
Accurately records and reports hours worked
Maintain an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker rooms
Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
Understand and complies with the Cretex professional competencies, company policies, and employee manual
Adhere to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when required
Support and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
Complete all other work duties as assigned
QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent (GED).
Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and document work instructions and procedures.
Mechanical aptitude.
Dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
Ability to take direction from the area manager.
Ability to collaborate with team members, provide input to the area lead, and attend meetings.
Ability to cross-train in other areas of production when required.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
Desireable Qualifications
Two-year CNC Machining Degree
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Pay RangeUSD $23.08 - USD $33.46 /Hr.
This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full hiring range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.
