Mate Precision Technologies is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our Manufacturing & Production team. In this role, you will set up, program, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce high precision components for sheet metal tooling. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, selecting tools and fixtures, performing quality checks with precision measuring instruments, and maintaining tight tolerances. You will collaborate closely with engineers and teammates to improve processes, optimize cycle times, and ensure on time delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and offsets to meet part specifications
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments
  • Maintain tight tolerances and high quality standards for production parts
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make basic program or offset adjustments
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve processes and cycle times
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized
  • Document production data, quality results, and any nonconformances
  • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a team-focused, continuous improvement culture

Required Skills

  • CNC machine setup and operation

  • CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360)
  • Blueprint reading and GD&TPrecision measurement (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Tooling and work holding selection
