The Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center is looking for a caring and friendly Licensed Practical Nurse to join our nursing team. As the Licensed Practical Nurse you will assist in providing nursing care, treatment, instruction, and short-term psychiatric care to patients in a hospital‑level of care setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities- Complete daily nursing cares including administering and monitoring medications and treatments
- Perform basic medical treatments per medical practitioner orders
- Provide health information to individual patients
- Observe patients and complete focused assessments
- Provide reports to Registered Nurses so that assessments, interventions, and follow‑up of patient’s well‑being are completed and documented
- Interact respectfully with patients while maintaining appropriate boundaries
- Complete assigned admission/discharge forms within policy timelines
Must possess or be eligible for licensure as a Practical Nurse in Minnesota. Future licensed nurses within six (6) months of graduating and taking the NCLEX‑LPN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of the NCLEX‑LPN.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working in a mental health setting
- Experience working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
