Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our supply chain operates with precision and excellence. This is a unique opportunity to influence quality standards and drive improvements across our global supplier network.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Liaison: Function as the essential conduit between production teams, program managers, and suppliers, facilitating the resolution of quality-related issues and ensuring timely delivery.
- Partnership Development: Forge strong collaborative links with internal engineering and sourcing teams to proactively identify and address potential production risks.
- Continuous Improvement: Spearhead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives and organize Kaizen events to engrain a culture of quality excellence.
- Supply Chain Influence: Assess supplier capabilities, validate their corrective actions, and lead supplier engagement and cadence meetings to ensure robust quality management practices.
- Global Standards Support: Participate in supplier audits and manage the Supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to uphold superior manufacturing standards.
- Global Engagement: Expect travel opportunities up to 30% to engage directly with suppliers and enhance collaborative efforts.
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Supplier Quality or related functions.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques (RCCA, 8D, 3L5Y), Control Plans, FMEA, and Process Capability Studies.
- Certifications:
CQE, CMQ, CQA, or APQP are desirable. - ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor training.
- Additional training in Six Sigma, Lean, and Process Improvement methodologies.
- Strong communication skills across all levels of an organization.
- A passion for mentoring and coaching, with the ability to lead and train Quality Technicians.
