Position: Counter Sales (Part Time)

Overview

As a NAPA Counter Sales Associate, you are the face of our retail store, greeting customers and providing automotive parts and service solutions both in‑person and over the phone. This role offers the opportunity to grow within NAPA, whether you aim for a long‑term career in parts or wish to explore other positions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide auto parts answers and solutions to retail and wholesale customers at the counter or over the phone.
  • Use parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members in answering customer questions.
  • Deliver outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who enters the NAPA store.
  • Welcome and engage retail customers to create a positive consumer experience.
  • Operate technology such as computer, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system.
Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in a parts store, automotive industry, or a willingness to learn all things auto parts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Love fast‑paced retail environments; strong listening skills and empathy for customers.
  • Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership is a plus.
  • Experience with cataloging and/or inventory management systems is a plus.
  • ASE certifications (not a deal breaker).
