Job Description
Anoka Technical College is seeking a full‑time instructor to join our thriving Construction Electrician program. The core responsibilities of this role include instructing students across a variety of electrical subjects within the established curriculum, helping develop and revise curriculum materials to keep them current and aligned with industry standards, providing constructive feedback to students, assessing their competencies, and staying current with technical knowledge through professional development activities and engagement with professional organizations and an advisory committee.
Minimum Qualifications- Two‑year diploma in an electrician program or completion of a registered electrician apprenticeship program.
- Four full‑time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience as a licensed electrician in residential and commercial settings.
- One year of such work experience must be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application.
- Recency requirement can be waived if the applicant has two years of successful full‑time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
- Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Leadership/mentor experience – professional or personal.
- State of Minnesota Class A Journeyman Electrician License.
- State of Minnesota Class A Masters Electrician License.
