Set Build Lead
This is a temporary position.
OverviewLead the physical set construction for our fall theater production in collaboration with our Resident Set Designer. Direct parent volunteers and mentor middle school student crew members in safe, hands-on scenic build techniques.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute set build according to provided technical designs.
- Supervise student crew and parent volunteers, ensuring safety and proper tool usage.
- Maintain build schedule from initial construction (Oct 19) through tech rehearsals (Nov
2) and final touch-ups leading to opening night (Nov 13). - Supervise and execute strike (dismantling the set and restoring auditorium) on November 22 immediately following final performance.
- Experience in carpentry, scenic construction, general building and painting (DIY experience is okay).
- Ability to instruct and supervise youth safely in a shop environment.
Flexible afternoon/evening shifts (approx. 3:00-5:00 PM and/or 5:00-7:00 PM)
Salary:Stipend - $1,500.00
