APRN – CHC School Based Clinic

Community Health Center Inc. (CHC) seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner for a full‑time, school‑based health center at Emmett O’Brien Technical High School in Ansonia, CT. The position is scheduled to work 195 days a year in line with the school calendar and will collaborate closely with the school nurse and other staff to provide comprehensive medical care to students and the underserved community.

• Provide a full scope of medical services largely geared to underserved populations.
• Receive strong clinical support services and work within an innovative school‑based health system.
• Be part of a multidisciplinary practice that offers a blend of individual and population‑based care.
• Support enrolled CHC students in student physicals and other primary care services.

• Graduate of an accredited Master of Science in Nursing program with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialty.
• Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• State of Connecticut APRN and RN licensure (within 12 months) is required.
• Bi‑lingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred.

As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), CHC qualifies for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Scholar program, multiple HRSA loan repayment programs, and the Connecticut Student Loan Repayment Program. Eligible providers may receive NHSC loan repayment, SUD loan repayment, Nursecorp LRP, and other financial assistance programs that support community‑based primary care practitioners.
