About the role We are looking for a skilled Mainframe z/VM & Linux Engineer to join our team. This position focuses on managing IBM Z virtualization environments and Linux systems. You will be tasked with setting up, maintaining, and enhancing virtual machines and Linux platforms, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely in a corporate setting.

Onsite (Hybrid) Compensation: $104,000

• Manage the provisioning and maintenance of virtual machines and Linux systems on z/VM.
• Optimize system performance and ensure high availability and security for enterprise operations.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with IBM Z virtualization and Linux environments.
• Strong knowledge of z/VM and Linux system administration.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
• Familiarity with performance tuning and security best practices in virtual environments.

• Experience with automation tools for system management.
• Knowledge of additional programming or scripting languages.

• Proficiency in IBM Z architecture and z/VM.
• Expertise in Linux operating systems and administration.
• Familiarity with monitoring and management tools for virtual environments.
