Intervention Aide (Credit Recovery)
Wage/Hour Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Provide targeted instructional support and interventions to students under the direct supervision of certified teachers. Assist in preparing, conducting, and managing credit recovery lab coursework.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED and meet one of the following requirements:
- Completion of 48 credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education
- Possess an associate (or higher) degree
- OR passing score on the paraprofessional assessment – qualify for the required paraprofessional certificate (Educational Aide I) and meet the following requirements for certification
- Experience working with students or parents as approved by the employing superintendent – experience may be work in church related schools, day camps, youth groups, private schools, licensed day‑care centers, or similar experience
- Ability to work with students with disabilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents orally and in writing.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office Software
- Ability to navigate the Credit Recovery Instructional Program
Instructional Support:
- Provide targeted instruction and classroom support to students under the direction of a teacher, and work with individual students or small groups.
- Works closely with campus teachers to address the needs of students.
- Coordinate with the school counselor on credit recovery classes.
- Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly computer lab.
- Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
- Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
- Provide instructions to substitute, if absent.
Student Management:
- Help supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside the computer lab.
- Make teacher or school counselor aware of special needs or problems of individual students.
Other:
- Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
- Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
