After school Program Leader

Primary

Purpose:

To provide students with academic support, social-emotional learning opportunities, enrichment activities, and a safe and structured environment that supports the needs of the whole child.

Qualifications:

• Education/Certification:
  
  High School Diploma or GED
• Speak, read, and write fluent English
• Associate or bachelor's degree in education (preferred)

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to plan, implement, and manage engaging academic, enrichment, and social-emotional activities
• Ability to manage behavior using positive reinforcement and conflict-resolution strategies
• Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate in English with district employees, parents, and students

Experience:

• One year's experience working with children in an educational, recreational, or after school setting (preferred)

Major

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Oversee daily activities, ensuring a safe, structured, and positive environment for students.
• Organize and implement academic support, enrichment, social-emotional, and recreational activities.
• Monitor student participation and provide mentoring and behavior management as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with parents, school staff, and administrators about student progress and program updates.
• Uphold and adhere to the school districts' safety rules, policies, and program requirements, including attendance tracking and documentation.

  Prolonged sitting and/or standing; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
• Lifting:
  Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)

  Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress

Part-Time Monday-Thursday 3 PM-5 PM 8 hours total
