This Inpatient Pharmacist position supports a critical access hospital environment, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care across multiple departments including Med Surg, ICU, Emergency Department, PACU, Surgery, and outpatient infusion services. The pharmacist collaborates with physicians and nursing staff to ensure safe medication management, accurate order verification, and evidence-based pharmacotherapy. The role requires independent clinical judgment within a smaller hospital setting while maintaining strong interdisciplinary communication.
Weekend coverage may occur once or twice per contract, and one holiday may be required based on scheduling needs.
Requirements:
Candidates must hold an active Wisconsin Pharmacist license and possess a Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy degree. A minimum of one year of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience is required. EPIC charting experience is mandatory. Applicants must meet local radius requirements and comply with vaccination or masking policies during flu season. Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, medication safety practices, and clinical review processes is expected.
