Nutrition Services Assistant I
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist in quantity preparation of foods at the central kitchen or assigned school site; serve and transport food to students and staff according to established procedures; assist in maintaining food service facilities in a clean and sanitary condition. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
The Nutrition Services Assistant I-Driving classification is the entry-level position in the series. Incumbents perform basic and routine food service activities at the central kitchen or assigned school site and deliver food to various programs within the district as assigned. Nutrition Services Assistant I incumbents do not drive in the course of their assigned activities.

EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
All offers of employment are conditional upon the applicant's satisfactory results of the Pre-Placement Evaluation Program (PEP) strength test.
SELECTION & EXAMINATION:
The selection process will consist of an application screening for completeness and qualifications, a written exam (weighted 40%) and an oral panel interview exam (weighted 60%) will be conducted. A passing score must be achieved on the exams to be placed on the eligibility list. Final selection will be made from the three highest accepting ranks off the eligibility list.
