Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of identified Title I students in a classroom, laboratory, or other learning environment; tutor students in assigned subject areas; provide clerical program support.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination equivalent to:
Graduation from high school or equivalent; experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting; or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.

SELECTION & EXAMINCATIONS:
The selection process will consist of an application screening for completeness, qualifications, and experience. A written exam that meets the "Every Student Succeeds Act" (ESSA) requirements (weighted 40%) and an oral interview exam (weighted 60%) will be conducted. A passing score must be achieved on all exams to be placed on the eligibility list. Final selections will be made from the three highest accepting ranks off the eligibility list.
