salary range 127: step a $28.26, step b $30.52, step c $31.85, step d $33.47, step e $35.16, step f $36.94. Continuous recruitment – until filled.
education/experience: any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities of the job specification.
license & other requirements: valid california class a or b commercial driver’s license with passenger, air brake and school bus endorsements. Valid first aid and cpr certification issued by an authorized agency. Maintain good driving record. Valid medical card. Valid california special driver certificate for school bus.
examination: an application screening (weighted 10%) and an oral interview (weighted 90%) will be conducted. A passing score must be achieved on each portion of the exam. Final selection will be made from those who achieve the three highest ranking scores.
strength testing: all offers of employment are conditional upon the applicant’s satisfactory results of the post offer, pre-placement physical evaluation program (pep). This physical strength test helps us select employee candidates that have demonstrated a minimum level of strength to perform the essential functions of the job. This recruitment is for individuals who are certified school bus drivers and hold all valid licenses, endorsements, and certifications required.
