Job Description
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting small business clients, preparing financial statements, managing multiple client accounts, and providing assistance with payroll and accounting software. Working closely with an account manager, you'll help shape the financial success of our clients while embracing our culture of continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do- Deliver financial clarity: prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for small business clients.
- Own the client experience: manage a portfolio of clients, provide support with accounting, payroll, and basic software questions, building strong professional relationships.
- Deliver customer service excellence: provide timely and dependable responses.
- Manage practice management: maintain accurate reports and handle sensitive business matters confidentially.
- Collaborate across the firm: work with IT, payroll, tax, and consulting teams for seamless support.
- Continuous improvement: spot opportunities for efficiency and recommend improvements.
- Grow with us: stay updated on accounting practices and technology, participate in training, share learning with the team.
- Be a culture contributor: support firm‑wide goals and embody our vision and core values.
- Education:
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required if you bring the skills and drive. - Experience:
1–3 years in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related role a plus; enthusiastic learners welcome. - Quick Books skills: strong proficiency in Quick Books Online; certification a bonus or willingness to pursue.
- Tech‑savvy: confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook) and quick to learn new tools and systems.
- Excellent communicator: clear, professional written and verbal communication.
