School Secretary
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Principal with clerical tasks including, but not limited to, word processing, document creation and appointment scheduling
- Assist building administration with necessary clerical tasks
- Assist Head Secretary in the successful operation of the school office
- Greet and assist school visitors; this includes following appropriate school and district procedures regarding visitors
- Assist in the distribution of parent, student and staff communications including report cards, test results, newsletters and spring registration packets
- Answer the telephone and provide accurate information and/or route calls or messages to the appropriate school employee
- Assist in ordering and inventory management of school office supplies
- Assist with the scheduling and other tasks related to building events
- Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
- Assist student within the school setting-behaviorally, emotionally and academically
- Provide supervision to students in nonacademic settings
- High school diploma or equivalent
Starting hourly range: $17.00-$19.00
