Education Specialist
A Child's Place in Antioch is a licensed childcare center seeking an Education Specialist! This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic candidate who is passionate about early childhood education. Our mission is to be a nurturing environment for young children trusted by parents. We accomplish this by focusing on the needs of our students through age-appropriate educational activities in a fun, loving, and safe setting.
Compensation
: $19-22/hr, based on experience or education

Monday – Friday, Full-time

Must be Director Qualified in the state of Illinois (21 ECE course credits and qualifying business course) and willing to drive our School Age van (must be at least 23 years old).
Program development and Teacher interaction development- Assist CD with implementation of child portfolios and child assessments
- Review classroom interactions, behaviors, routines to identify development needs and provide support per CD.
- Review implementation of Creative Curriculum.
- Identify training/resource needs in areas of program, sanitation, regulatory compliance with CD and provide hands on support where needed or requested.
- Playground initiatives.
- Indoor gross motor activity plans and resources.
- Classroom environment maintenance in correlation to NCRLAP.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining quality of education standards per company guidelines including labeling, communication boards, classroom arrangement, resources specific to children’s needs, program and classroom enrichments.
- Incorporate developmental objectives into LP’s and oversee modification requests of staff.
- Review LP crates, provide appropriate feedback to teachers.
- Arrange for weekly LP supplies, maintain common area supply closet.
- Integrate activities and developmental goals into Tadpole system and Daily Reports.
- Conduct classroom observations as needed or requested by CD using current monthly observation forms.
- Provide feedback to CD and direct teacher support to teachers as needed, acting as a liaison between staff and management team as necessary.
