Fischer Paper Products is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our Industrial Manufacturing team on 3rd Shift
.
The Maintenance Technician II– Night Shift plays a critical role in supporting production operations by performing advanced equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations while maintaining the highest standards for safety, quality, and food safety.
This position will support Fischer’s continued growth and success by maintaining and improving production equipment, facility systems, utilities, and building operations. The Maintenance Technician will partner with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure reliable manufacturing operations.
Schedule:Monday – Thursday | 8:10 PM – 6:30 AM
Fridays as needed
Key Responsibilities:- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment according to established quality and safety standards
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues
- Troubleshoot equipment failures to minimize production downtime
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and equipment documentation
- Complete maintenance work orders and accurately record time and repairs
- Maintain parts inventory and documentation
- Perform facility, grounds, and utility maintenance
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and improvements
- Understand machine setup and operation to better support production needs
- Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, sanitation, and food safety requirements
- Collaborate with production and other departments to support company goals
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems preferred
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
