Technical Services Supervisor

We are seeking a hands‑on Technical Services Manager to lead technical support, workforce training, and continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for supervising technical staff, developing workforce capability, and driving operational excellence through strong leadership, problem‑solving, and process optimization.

• Supervise daily activities of technical services staff, including scheduling, coaching, performance management, and training
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and safety‑focused work environment
• Partner with production supervisors and cross‑functional teams to optimize operational performance
• Mentor employees on project management principles and execution

• Lead hands‑on training of machine operators on proper setup, changeovers, and best practices to ensure safe and efficient production
• Develop and implement structured onboarding and training programs for new hires
• Provide ongoing coaching to build technical capability, problem‑solving skills, and ownership of equipment performance
• Drive workforce development initiatives such as cross‑training, succession planning, and building bench strength
• Identify skill gaps and partner with leadership to implement targeted training plans
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing

• Serve as the escalation point for complex production and equipment issues
• Diagnose and resolve challenges related to equipment, processes, and materials
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve yield

• Lead continuous improvement (CI) initiatives from concept through execution
• Apply Lean manufacturing and root‑cause analysis to improve efficiency and performance
• Analyze production data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions
• Support new product introductions (NPI), process changes, and pilot runs

• Ensure products meet company standards and customer specifications
• Partner with Quality to investigate non‑conformances and implement corrective actions
• Maintain compliance with food safety and packaging regulations
• Enforce adherence to:
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5–10+ years of experience in manufacturing, technical support, or operations
• 2–5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in a production environment
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, CI, or Six Sigma preferred
• Knowledge of GMP and HACCP required (food/packaging environment preferred)
