Dance Teacher

Charter One works with schools across the country to provide all-inclusive education management services. American Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for a Dance Teacher for the academic year for our ALA Radiance campus, located in Apache Junction, AZ. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, a valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.

• Ability to teach using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level.
• Develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse group of teachers and students.
• Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals.
• Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement.
• Choreograph routines and select music for recitals and concerts.
• Conduct group and private lessons as required.
• Provide a fun and creative environment.
• Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the dance routines and curriculum as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Bachelor’s degree

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Dance, or related field
• Arizona Teaching Certificate or 24 credit hours in area or Content knowledge exams (AEPA, NES, Praxis)
