POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Mechanical/Plumbing Project Manager play a paramount role in our organization. They ensure that our projects are on track both at field level and office level.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Boiler and repair experience
  • Manage several Mechanical & Plumbing projects
  • Provide guidance and continue training to Foreman
  • Review & inspect for company safety
  • Review & inspect work for quality control
  • Review time & procedure of project scope
  • Risk Identification
  • Weekly site visits
  • Attend Company meetings
  • Attend job showings
  • Attend project start up meetings
  • Coordinate delivery of equipment
  • Liaison between office & foreman (project)
  • Ad-hoc projects
TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1-2 years minimum experience as a Project Manager
  • 1-2 years' experience in Mechanical building systems
  • Bilingualism is strongly recommended
  • Competent in construction concepts and terminology
  • Comprehension in Mechanical and Plumbing Specifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Canadian Building Code and Ontario and/or Quebec Code
  • Must be a Licensed Plumbing Journeyman or a Licensed Steam Fitter
  • Must be self-motivated, have leadership, planning and organizational skills
  • Must have overall strong technical computer skills
  • Must have managed a project with a minimum of 3-5 project workers
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driver abstract
