Reporting to the General Manager, the Mechanical/Plumbing Project Manager play a paramount role in our organization. They ensure that our projects are on track both at field level and office level.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Boiler and repair experience
- Manage several Mechanical & Plumbing projects
- Provide guidance and continue training to Foreman
- Review & inspect for company safety
- Review & inspect work for quality control
- Review time & procedure of project scope
- Risk Identification
- Weekly site visits
- Attend Company meetings
- Attend job showings
- Attend project start up meetings
- Coordinate delivery of equipment
- Liaison between office & foreman (project)
- Ad-hoc projects
- 1-2 years minimum experience as a Project Manager
- 1-2 years' experience in Mechanical building systems
- Bilingualism is strongly recommended
- Competent in construction concepts and terminology
- Comprehension in Mechanical and Plumbing Specifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Canadian Building Code and Ontario and/or Quebec Code
- Must be a Licensed Plumbing Journeyman or a Licensed Steam Fitter
- Must be self-motivated, have leadership, planning and organizational skills
- Must have overall strong technical computer skills
- Must have managed a project with a minimum of 3-5 project workers
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driver abstract
- Strong management and leadership ability.

- Excellent communication ability.
- Moderate mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
- Excellent customer service acumen.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skill.
- Ability to prioritize work and competing demands.
