Volunteer Opportunities
Parks and Recreation is seeking volunteers who are interested in supporting our Active Adult Program and Special Interest Programs.
Volunteer responsibilities may include assisting with the setup, serving, and cleanup of our lunch program, as well as providing support for activities and programs designed for adults age 50 and older.
Volunteer hours:
Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
We also have opportunities for individuals interested in teaching or leading a Special Interest class and sharing their skills, knowledge, or hobbies with members of the community.

Various Parks and Recreation Facilities
Previous experience and knowledge of parks and recreation activities, and facilities. Volunteers eighteen (18) years of age or older who are accepted for the assignment will be required to successfully complete a criminal background report.
Knowledge
- Communicate clearly and concisely (both verbally and in writing)
- Knowledge of City and department procedures, policies, and guidelines
Skills
- Convey a positive, friendly attitude, work pleasantly with staff, patrons, and other volunteers.
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions, policies, and procedures; receive instruction from Parks and Rec staff
- Work congenially with staff, patrons, and other volunteers
- Ability to lift and move objects as needed
