Job Title: Shift Supervisor
Department: Retail
Reports To: General Manager
FLSA Status: Regular Non‑Exempt
Role SummaryThe Shift Supervisor assists the General Manager/Assistant General Manager in leading and supervising store personnel, ensuring regulatory compliance, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining daily store operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Assume all duties of a key‑holding supervisor related to opening and closing procedures, basic staff supervision, and retail processes.
- Maintain brand standards in visual merchandising.
- Ensure consistent regulatory compliance with all state‑specific regulations.
- Review, communicate, and ensure compliance with all company SOPs, and assure that any changes are communicated to employees.
- Provide coaching, training, and development to the team focused on company service standards and accountability to meet specific objectives.
- Monitor and maintain store inventory.
- Handle and resolve patient issues and escalations.
- Maintain professional working relationships with business partners.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
- High School Diploma required.
- Prior management experience, preferably in retail and/or customer service, is a plus.
- Must have prior cash‑handling experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management and staff, while upholding strict confidentiality and discretion.
- Able to communicate in conversational English, operate electronic equipment (computer, scanner, printer, etc.), comprehend safety procedures, and utilize telecommunications devices.
- Ability to interact with customers and team members respectfully and politely.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass an MVR background check (delivery locations only).
- Must be able to pass a Level 1 and Level 2 background check.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must function independently, possess flexibility, personal integrity, and ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
- Must be able to relate to and work with patrons of different ages, abilities, and sometimes experiencing emotional distress or exhibiting hostile attitudes.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will constantly move/traverse throughout the entire facility, including tight spaces; accurately communicate and exchange sensitive information; manipulate objects up to 50 lbs; ascend/descend a stool/ladder/steps; use computing devices; occasionally remain seated.
Work ScheduleUp to 40 hours weekly with flexible hours depending on store needs. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
