Mediacom Communications has been a leading broadband provider since 1995, serving over 1.55 million customers across 22 states. We are looking for a Direct Sales Representative to drive the growth of our internet, video, home phone, and mobile services.
Position OverviewAs a Direct Sales Representative, you will sell Mediacom products door‑to‑door, providing customers with reliable internet and TV services while meeting or exceeding sales targets. You will receive training, support, and tools to succeed.
Position Responsibilities- Obtain sales by canvassing door to door using proven sales techniques.
- Complete appropriate paperwork and present payment options for customer purchases.
- Operate daily between 11 am and 8 pm to reach prospects when they are home.
- Provide performance updates to supervisors and managers.
- Travel within Mediacom territory, including state‑to‑state trips up to two weeks with company‑paid transportation, lodging, and food allowances.
- Serve as a community ambassador by presenting at team meetings, training field staff or helping plan team and community events.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Preferred one year of direct or outside sales experience, though potential and drive are key.
- Sales‑driven, success‑oriented team player with positive people orientation.
- Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, proof of auto insurance, and reliable personal vehicle.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with internet‑related devices (tablets, smartphones, routers, modems).
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Availability to travel to and from assigned territories and company office locations.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Compliance with city solicitor’s permits for door‑to‑door sales, including completion of required city application.
- Base salary of $30,000 plus guaranteed first‑year commission of $30,000; unlimited commission potential.
