Position:Direct Sales Representative
We are seeking high‑performance sales professionals to sell internet services and other Mediacom products such as video, home phone, and mobile services. Paid training, sales tools, and ongoing coaching are provided to help you exceed company expectations.
Position OverviewSuccessfully achieve and exceed sales targets through door‑to‑door canvassing while representing the Mediacom brand in community settings.

- Base salary of $30,000 + guaranteed first‑year commission of $30,000.

- Obtain sales by canvassing door‑to‑door using proven sales techniques to meet and exceed company targets.
- Complete appropriate paperwork and present payment options for customer purchases.
- Canvass door‑to‑door daily from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m., the timeframe when most prospects are home.
- Receive performance updates from immediate supervisor or manager and leverage support for success.
- Travel within Mediacom territory, including state‑to‑state travel and trips up to two weeks;
Mediacom covers transportation, lodging, and food allowance. - Participate in community ambassador activities such as presentations, training, team conference calls, and event planning.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One year of direct or field sales experience preferred but not required; potential and drive are emphasized.
- Sales‑driven, success‑driven, team‑player with a positive people orientation.
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory record, proof of auto insurance, and access to a reliable personal vehicle.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with internet‑related devices (tablets, smartphones, routers, modems, etc.).
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to travel to and from assigned territories and company office locations.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- For cities requiring solicitor permits, successful completion of the city application is required.

DisclaimerThe salary for this position is $60,000.00 the first year. In Mediacom, sales roles are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission). Base pay is one part of our total compensation package, providing the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
