Description
General SummaryProvides support through maintaining the integrity and efficiency of payroll operations. Works with the Director of Finance to understand both immediate and future financial needs. Provide financial support to the Marketing and IT Departments. Must be able to work independently and report results back to management. Provide support to the Accounting Lead Analyst.

Required Competencies Accounting and Payroll Support- Provides excellent service and a wide range of payroll operations and expense analysis
- Prepare and execute payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate payroll runs for all employees
- Analyze, prepare, and processes additional payments such as bonuses, commissions, production incentives
- Function as the main interface with Paylocity for all labor, payroll, and HR items
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of the payroll data and ensure accuracy of payroll and related records
- Create and analyze various reporting and data needs
- Serve as main interface to State and Federal agencies for payroll items
- Provide financial support and advice for Marketing and IT functions
- Backup the Lead Accounting Analyst and become familiar with all company accounting procedures and functions
- Assist in the management, development, documentation, and implementations of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls and improve overall performance
- Attends and participates in company training meetings
- Attends community events sponsored by the company
- Assists in other departments as needed
- Effictively utilizes IT, hardware, and software programs used in the company and coaches others
- Interpret and collate data lists to maximize efficiency when contacting prospective clients
- Performs other duties as required
- Read, write, speak, and comprehend English
- At least 18 years of age
- Legal to work in the U.S.
- Posses high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Free of any substance abuse
- Dependable internet connection for working remote days
- MS Office and database
- Financial software experience
- 2-year college degree or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, HR, or other related field
- Basic accounting experience
- Reading, writing and speaking English, and basic mathematics
- Communication technologies such as email and web
- Organizing and prioritizing tasks and time
- Highly proficient in business software (word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, web)
- Familiar with Quickbooks and payroll systems
- Reading, writing, arithmetic

- Strong sense of accountability, taking responsibility over projects and responsibilities of resolving issues proactively
- Ability to work concurrently on a variety of project, prioritize efforts and work effectively under pressure
