Childcare Floater​/Teacher Aide

Overview

The Growing Years of Apex is a licensed childcare center seeking Floaters/Teacher Aides to work with all age groups.

• High school diploma OR GED.
• Ability to pass all background checks.
• Optionally, previous childcare experience is a plus.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm or 2:00pm - 6:00pm.

Compensation: $16‑$18/hr based on education and experience.

• Willingness to effectively substitute for any position as needed, including covering staff members’ breaks, filling in for absences, and assuming classroom duties before or after scheduled shifts.
• Demonstrate patience, kindness, and positive interactions with all children, parents, and staff.
• Operate as a team player and willingness to help where needed under the director of the lead teacher.
• Physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
