Construction Superintendent

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate between various stakeholders including contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and enforce safety protocols on the job site to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Review and interpret blueprints and project plans, providing guidance to team members as needed.
  • Oversee team performance, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability while mentoring junior staff.
  • Assist in contract administration, negotiating terms and resolving conflicts that may arise during the project.
  • Manage resource allocation and logistics to ensure efficiency in material and labor use.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing updates and addressing concerns promptly.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
  • Excellent skills in construction planning, scheduling, and budget management.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a focus on conflict resolution and communication.
  • Familiarity with various construction methods including design-build, general contracting, and historic preservation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents accurately.
  • Experience in managing multi-family, commercial, and industrial construction projects.
  • Proficient in safety management practices and OSHA compliance requirements.
