Network Engineer
Job Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Advisor, IT Network Development to support and enhance enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on network automation, Layer 2/Layer 3 technologies, and operational excellence. This role will play a key part in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and highly available networking solutions across data center and campus environments. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in network engineering, automation frameworks, and troubleshooting, with the ability to drive efficiency through modern network programmability and automation practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support critical business operations.
CoreResponsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, with a focus on Layer 2/Layer 3 switching technologies.
- Develop and implement network automation solutions to streamline provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Manage and optimize network performance, availability, and security across data center and campus environments.
- Automate routine network operations using scripting and orchestration tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network integration and deployment efforts.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Maintain up-to-date network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Participate in change management, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of network engineering experience.
- Layer 2/Layer 3 switching (VLANs, VRRP, MC-LAG, STP, VTP, Port Channel, and routing protocols such as OSPF/BGP).
- Network design and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with major networking platforms (e.g., Dell, Cisco, Arista, Juniper).
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with network automation tools.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python, Ansible, or similar scripting/automation frameworks.
- REST APIs and network programmability concepts.

Pay Range:
The approximate pay range for this position is between $38.00 and $55.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
