About the Role

A Registered Nurse (RN) - Charge Nurse who excels in this role will:

  • Oversee daily clinical operations and ensure continuity of care across departments
  • Serve as the primary clinical resource for staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff during assigned shifts
  • Assess unit needs and prioritize staffing assignments and patient care activities
  • Coordinate admissions, patient flow, and room placement
  • Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care
  • Monitor patient care activities to reduce risk and prevent errors
  • Provide direct patient care as needed based on unit demands
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
  • Oversee completion and accuracy of Interdisciplinary Care Plans
  • Support Quality Indicator (QI) processes and performance improvement initiatives
  • Promote adherence to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices
  • Support staff development, education, and a positive work environment
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, productivity, and operational workflows
Qualifications

Applicants should have a current state RN license and have graduated from an accredited nursing program. Additional requirements include:

  • CPR/BLS certification required
  • CRRN certification preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a rehabilitation or acute care setting required
  • Previous leadership or charge nurse experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, clinical judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Schedule

3x12, Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating weekends
