What you'll do
  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Lead and manage a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process optimization.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Train and mentor staff on quality control practices and techniques to foster a culture of quality throughout the organization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure that Bkimechanical remains at the forefront of quality assurance.
  • Manage customer complaints related to product quality, working closely with relevant teams to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Participate in product development meetings to provide input on quality considerations and ensure that new products meet quality standards from the outset.
  • Oversee the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in quality assessments.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean, to enhance overall quality performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team of quality professionals.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in quality control tools and methodologies, including statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the mechanical engineering industry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated and proactive.
Nice to have
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt) is a plus.
  • Experience with automated quality control systems and software.
  • Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies and their impact on quality assurance.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations related to manufacturing processes.
