Overview
At Wake Med, our Police Officers play a critical role in keeping our campuses safe, welcoming, and secure for patients, visitors, and teammates. You?ll combine traditional law enforcement responsibilities with a service?first mindset in a fast?paced healthcare environment.
What You’ll Do- Patrol Wake Med property to protect patients, visitors, staff, and facilities while enforcing applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
- Respond to criminal and non?criminal calls for service, assess situations quickly, and take appropriate action to reduce risk and maintain safety.
- Detain, arrest, and process criminal violations that occur on Wake Med property, completing all required reports, citations, and documentation.
- Assist with patient transport and subject control when individuals pose a risk to themselves or others, following North Carolina commitment procedures.
- Support investigations using Wake Med CCTV systems and operate departmental vehicles in compliance with state law and policy.

EducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent And Accredited Program Basic Law Enforcement Training Required
Experience2 Years Law Enforcement Preferred
