Construction Operator – CDL Class A

Overview

Our client is a trusted and growing concrete-cutting and selective-demolition contractor serving commercial and industrial clients throughout the Raleigh–Durham region and surrounding areas. They are known for safety, integrity, and quality workmanship, offering services including flat sawing, wall and wire sawing, core drilling, hand-sawing, selective demolition, and concrete removal and repair.

• Perform concrete sawing, drilling, cutting, and selective demolition services using a wide range of diamond and demolition tools.
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely and professionally.
• Transport equipment between yard and job sites and maintain equipment; conduct daily inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Complete jobsite documentation, including field tickets and CenPoint entries; take pre/post-work photos.
• Follow safety standards, procedures, and legal regulations at all times; enforce PPE and OSHA compliance with less experienced coworkers.
• Conduct Job Hazard Analysis and review safety plans for respirator use when required; assess safety risks in extreme environments and take appropriate breaks.
• Review work area for tools before leaving site; ensure tools are secured and returned to truck; maintain truck and equipment appearance.
• Communicate job status, delays, or issues promptly to dispatch/field management; assist estimator with feedback on job challenges that affect production.
• Participate in training to enhance technical skills and tool proficiency; manage expendables usage; keep tools and truck organized.
• Act as point-of-contact for site-level client interactions and follow standard operating procedures for changes of scope of work.

• CDL Class A license required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in concrete sawing, core drilling, or demolition
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate/maintain equipment
• Ability to lift 45 lbs+ and work in variable weather conditions
• Safety-oriented, dependable, and team-focused
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
