The Job
The Facilities Management department is recruiting for a General Maintenance Mechanic, who, under direction, performs skilled work in a variety of fields in the maintenance and repair of building mechanical and electrical systems.
This recruitment is open only to current employees of the County of San Bernardino. ExperienceMinimum Requirements
Four years of journey level building maintenance and repair experience in at least one of the following trades: electrical, carpentry (includes drywall, painting and carpet laying), plumbing, welding, air conditioning and/or sheet metal - OR - completion of a structured trade apprenticeship program.
Selection ProcessThere will be a written test conducted on August 6, 2008 that will consist of an evaluation of knowledge and skills in the following subject areas.
- Electrical/Carpentry/Painting
- Plumbing/Welding
- Air Conditioning
- Safety
