Lead AV Installation Technician
Responsible for but not limited to installation of Audio Visual Systems, pulling cable, terminating and testing endpoints, installing displays, projectors, screens, speakers, inputs, control panels and system peripherals.
- Install, terminate, and test low-voltage and fiber optic cabling as needed.
- Route cable through conduit, above ceilings, and between floors per job specifications.
- Read and comprehend technical schematics, operation manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedures.
- Verify all drawings, codes, site pictures, and job descriptions are complete and accessible.
- Assemble and test equipment racks per the rack build schedule.
- Verify all cables, connectors, hardware, and tools needed for project completion are available.
- Properly label all cables.
- Perform red-line changes as needed.
- Inventory and deliver equipment to the job site.
- Perform minor DSP changes and load control code as necessary.
- Ensure projects are completed to company and industry standards for a safe and fully functional system.
- Provide weekly project progress updates.
- Complete projects within budget, on time, and in a safe manner.
- Maintain professionalism with customers, team members, and project stakeholders.
- Submit required paperwork on time.
- Adhere to all company and project-specific safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Regularly work in non-climate-controlled environments. May be exposed to airborne particles and dirt in outdoor or construction environments. Noise levels may vary depending on the worksite and tools being used. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted. Stand, walk, reach, and use hands and arms throughout the workday. Coordinate hands and eyes while using tools and equipment. Climb ladders and work above ceilings, in crawl spaces, attics, and other construction environments.
Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required.
