Pavement Marking Technician II

Road Safe Traffic Systems seeks a Pavement Marking Technician II to install and maintain pavement markings and traffic control devices on roadway and infrastructure projects. Working in a safety-first, team-oriented field environment, you will operate striping trucks and related equipment, follow MUTCD and DOT standards, set up work zones, and ensure high-quality, accurate layout. This hands-on role offers extensive safety training, overtime potential, advancement opportunities, and a chance to directly improve roadway and worker safety on critical transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, and maintain pavement markings per plans and specifications
• Operate striping trucks, grinders, and related pavement marking equipment
• Set up, monitor, and remove traffic control and work zones per MUTCD standards
• Read and interpret plans, layouts, and measurements for marking placement
• Perform basic equipment inspections, cleaning, and routine maintenance
• Load, unload, and secure materials, paint, thermoplastic, and supplies
• Follow all company, DOT, and OSHA safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Assist crew members and communicate clearly with foremen and traffic control staff
• Work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and overtime as project needs require
• Complete required paperwork, logs, and daily reports accurately
