Role DescriptionThe Carpenter/Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Winston-Salem, NC. This role is responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining event structures, fixtures, and equipment using carpentry skills and appropriate tools. Day-to-day tasks include framing and finish carpentry work, assembling and disassembling event installations, performing routine maintenance on warehouse and event assets, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
The Carpenter/Maintenance Technician collaborates with operations and event teams to support setup and teardown, troubleshoot structural or equipment issues, and maintain an organized, safe work environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Carpentry and Framing for structural builds and repairs.
- Experience with Finish Carpentry for detailed, client-facing elements and high-quality finishes.
- Skilled in safe use of Hand Tools and Power Tools in a workshop and on-site environment.
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings or layouts and translate them into accurate builds.
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
- Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to support events.
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school, apprenticeship, or relevant carpentry experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment, and work on ladders or in varying conditions.
