Senior Material Coordinator - JLL
Senior Material Coordinator (MCIII) leads hands‑on warehouse operations in a cGMP‑regulated environment. The role supports the Warehouse Operations Supervisor, trains and mentors Material Coordinators, resolves operational issues, and ensures safe, efficient, and compliant warehouse activities.
Responsibilities- Execute and coordinate critical warehouse operations such as shipping, receiving, storing, delivering, transferring, reconciling, and cycle counting materials in accordance with cGMP procedures and regulations.
- Prioritize workload and ensure timely completion of all operational tasks, supporting daily warehouse activities.
- Operate powered industrial vehicles—including forklifts, order pickers, turret trucks, and pallet handling equipment—to move materials safely and efficiently.
- Perform inventory transactions and material movements within SAP ERP and other warehouse management systems.
- Ensure accurate receipt, storage, issuance, and transfer of materials across multiple systems and sites.
- Act as the primary resource and working lead for Material Coordinators, providing training, coaching, mentoring, and onboarding support.
- Assist the Warehouse Operations Supervisor in coordinating daily activities, assigning priorities, and maintaining workflow efficiency.
- Provide operational leadership during the absence of the Warehouse Operations Supervisor.
- Troubleshoot and resolve inventory discrepancies, process issues, and material flow challenges.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, GDP, DOT, IATA, and other regulatory requirements; maintain proper handling of temperature‑controlled, controlled, and regulated materials.
- Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records in line with regulatory and company requirements.
- Promote a positive, constructive, and team‑oriented work environment and model safe work behaviours.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, programs, and projects to enhance safety, quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderly storage conditions in the warehouse.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bio Works Certification or equivalent industry training.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, material handling, inventory control, or logistics.
- Experience working in a regulated environment and following standard operating procedures.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (SAP ERP) and Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate work activities and provide guidance to peers.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to establish positive working relationships across multiple teams.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles.
- Forward‑thinking and proactive planning skills.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences warehouse environment.
- Working knowledge of SAP ERP and Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). International Air Transport Association (IATA) shipping requirements.
- Knowledge of cold chain distribution requirements.
- Experience training or mentoring team members.
- Ability to carefully and accurately follow complex written procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to comfortably lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, crawl, crouch, bend, and work in non‑sitting positions for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials using appropriate industrial equipment.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
Onsite – Apex, NC. Salary: $66,560 – $72,800 per year ($32 – $35 per hour + overtime compensation).
