Construction Superintendent
Job Description
Champion jobsite safety by enforcing safe work practices and maintaining a safety-first culture. Oversee all onsite operations, ensuring activities are executed efficiently and in alignment with project goals. Monitor daily progress, providing regular updates to the Project Manager. Inspect ongoing work to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable building codes.
Responsibilities
+ Lead weekly coordination, scheduling, and safety meetings to keep all teams aligned.
+ Prepare and maintain daily reports detailing jobsite activity and overall project progress.
+ Develop and manage subcontractor schedules, including short-term planning to keep the project on track.
+ Track project milestones and communicate schedule status, ensuring timely completion.
+ Coordinate subcontractors in the correct sequence to maintain workflow and avoid delays.
+ Identify long-lead items and collaborate with the Project Engineer to prevent schedule impacts.
+ Evaluate subcontractor performance and address any deficiencies.
+ Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and develop solutions to jobsite challenges.
+ Escalate issues and present viable solutions to leadership when needed.
+ Represent the company professionally when interacting with owners, subcontractors, and team members.
+ Support subcontractors and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
+ Coordinate logistics for specialized environments, including access, badging, parking, and potential night work.
+ Utilize mobile technology to communicate and collaborate with the project team.
+ Uphold high-quality standards, ensuring excellent finish work across all trades.
+ Assist with hands-on tasks when needed, including the use of construction tools and equipment.
+ Participate in weekly leadership meetings to review job-specific updates and challenges.
+ Work with the Project Engineer and subcontractors to process RFIs efficiently and provide clear, actionable solutions.
+ Manage punch list activities, ensuring all owner/architect items are addressed and completed.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date onsite documentation, including permits, revisions, and safety records.
+ Maintain reliable transportation and the ability to travel to job sites and transport materials.

Work Environment
You will work on a variety of projects, including local work with a reputable brand well connected with the theme park industry. The role requires reliable transportation and the ability to travel to job sites. Expect to coordinate logistics for specialized environments, including access, badging, parking, and potential night work. You will utilize mobile technology to effectively communicate and collaborate with the project team.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Apopka, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $48.08/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
