An exciting opportunity awaits a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide essential support at the elementary level. In this contract position, you will cover a 12-week leave as an in-person ESE (Exceptional Student Education) teacher, starting in August. Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teaching certification for the appropriate grade level
Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education (ESE) setting
Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with students, families, and colleagues
Ability to adapt and modify curriculum and instructional approaches for individual learners
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver in-person instruction to elementary students in special education programs
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
Work with general education teachers and staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are in place
Assess and document student progress toward IEP goals
Foster a positive, safe, and encouraging classroom atmosphere to help all students thrive
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs
Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development during the contract period
