Position: Warehouse Associate - Lead |

Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate Lead is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations while providing direction, guidance, and hands‑on leadership to Warehouse Associates. This role ensures all warehouse activities are completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards. The Warehouse Associate Lead works collaboratively with peers, management, and cross‑functional teams to drive productivity, maintain a clean and organized facility, and consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities Operational Responsibilities
  • Oversee and participate in daily warehouse tasks, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure all warehouse activities are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company procedures.
  • Assist in coordinating workflow among Warehouse Associates to meet operational goals and customer deadlines.
  • Perform and oversee forklift operation safely and efficiently; maintain required certifications and conduct vehicle safety checks, reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor or designated personnel.
  • Prepare, verify, and stage outgoing orders for delivery or customer pickup according to internal procedures and special instructions.
  • Receive incoming materials and customer equipment, properly inspecting materials against accompanying paperwork.
  • Ensure all products and equipment are put away accurately and promptly in designated locations.
Leadership & Communication
  • Provide on‑floor leadership, guidance, and training to Warehouse Associates to promote accuracy, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment through effective communication with team members, supervisors, and customers.
  • Serve as a point of contact to assist in resolving operational issues or questions during daily workflows.
Facility Management
  • Maintain a clean, neat, safe, and well‑organized warehouse environment.
  • Assist in ensuring facility security, including proper handling of access points, equipment, and materials.
  • Support safety initiatives and enforce adherence to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Systems & Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), handheld devices, and other required technologies.
  • Help identify process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Process returned materials and equipment per established procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Present a neat, professional image at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management team.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of warehouse experience, with prior leadership or lead responsibilities preferred.
  • Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle up to 20 lbs as required by the role.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and warehouse technology.
  • High School diploma or GED required.

Productivity & Efficiency
  • Order Picking Accuracy: ≥ 99%
  • On Time Order Fulfillment: 98% or higher
  • Receiving Processing Time:
    Materials received and put away within 24 hours
Quality & Accuracy
  • Inventory Accuracy Rate:
    Maintain 98% or higher
  • Return Processing Accuracy: 100% adherence to return procedures
Safety & Compliance
  • Safety Incidents: 0 recordable incidents or near misses per quarter
  • Forklift Compliance: 100% completion of daily inspections and safe operation checklists
Leadership & Team Support
  • Training Compliance:
    Ensure new associates complete onboarding and equipment training within required time frames
  • Team Productivity:
    Maintain team performance at or above established departmental standards
Facility Upkeep
  • Housekeeping Standards: 100% compliance with 5S / cleanliness expectations
  • Equipment Care:
    Ensure equipment issues are reported within 1 hour of detection
