Job Summary
The Los Angeles Center for Ear, Nose, Throat and Allergy is a large private ENT group with 11 clinic locations (soon to be 12) across the greater LA area. We have six ENT physicians, a Sleep Medicine physician, an Allergy and Immunology physician, and a growing team of 20 PAs and NPs.
DescriptionOur practice encourages PAs to operate at the upper limit of our scope of practice. We regularly perform in‑office diagnostic endoscopies, office procedures, assist with logistics, patient care, and documentation in the OR, and gain experience with inpatient care as well. The team is very supportive and you will never wait more than a few minutes for advice from our experienced collaborating physicians.

- Identifying short‑term and long‑range patient care issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives.
- Assessing patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
- Determining abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as X‑rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies; interpreting test results.
- Documenting patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Instructing and counseling patients by describing therapeutic regimens; promoting wellness and health maintenance.
- Providing continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protecting patients and employees by adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols.
- Complying with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Developing healthcare team staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four‑year college or university PA program required.
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of California.
- National certification with NCCPA.
- 1–2 years of ENT experience preferred.
- Thoroughness, clinical skills, physiological knowledge, bedside manner, infection control, administering medication, pain management, self‑development.
- Sit for long periods.
- Stand for long periods.
- Use hands and fingers in repetitive motions daily.
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 20 lbs. periodically.
- Travel to clinic locations or sites as needed.
