This posting is for our Norton Science and Language Academy campus located in the city of San Bernardino. Applicants will not be considered for our AAE campus in Apple Valley. Minimum requirements:
• Graduation from high school or equivalent
• CPR/First aid
• Must meet NCLB/ESSA requirements for paraprofessionals working in Title I schools to include:
• Two years of college (48) units, OR
• A.A. degree (or higher), OR
• Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction
• One year of experience working with elementary, middle or high school students in an organized setting OR
• Any combination of education, training, and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential duties may be substituted for the required experience. Examples of other education, training and/or experience could include (but is not limited to):
• Child development or education course work and/or associate's degree in education or related field
• Volunteer experience working with school age children
• Other experience working with school age children
