Overview
Occupational Therapist at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This is a full-time position with a 10-hour day shift. A $5000 hiring bonus is offered for eligible external hires who meet required qualifications and payment conditions.
Responsibilities- Evaluate, plan, direct and administer medically prescribed occupational therapy programs in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part.
- Assist patients to reach maximum performance and independence while adapting to their capacities.
- Perform administrative duties and participate in department performance improvement, infection control, safety and education programs.
- Provide supervision and guidance for Occupational Therapist Assistants; orient staff and students as needed; assume duties of supervisor in their absence.
- Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association-accredited training program.
- Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire.
- California Occupational Therapist License at hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association at hire.
- Experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, outpatient, and/or subacute care settings.
Salary range:
The base pay range is $46.57 - $72.29 per hour. The successful candidate’s placement on the wage range will be determined based on relevant experience and other applicable factors. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
