Outpatient Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapist at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is full-time and will work a 10‑hour day shift.

$5000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Providence St. Mary Medical Center has been a part of the Apple Valley community since 1956 and is recognized as one of the best regional hospitals in multiple specialties by U.S. News & World Report. The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, directs, and administers medically prescribed occupational therapy programs in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part.

The role assists patients in reaching maximum performance and integrating into society while learning to live within the limits of their capacities. Administrative duties include participation in departmental performance improvement, infection control, safety, and education programs. The therapist also assumes responsibility for patients being treated by Occupational Therapist Assistants and may supervise staff and students in the absence of a supervisor.

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association training program.
• Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire.
• California Occupational Therapist License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
• Experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, outpatient, and/or sub‑acute care settings.
